All the girls on the DT did a wonderful job on their tags, please go have a look:-) I'm so far behind on my cards for Christmas that my friends will probably be getting them between the holiday and new year! Totally Gorjuss challenge7-Not A Card

For this weeks challenge at Totally Gorjuss Net asked us to do anything but a card:-) with it being the week of Thanksgiving I was pinched for time so I opted to take a take out box I had bought at AC Moore and decorate it Gorjuss style! I added a few punched circles over what was a printed snowflake and punched out a large MS snowflake and glittered it to make it appear as either a halo or hat for her! I used my copics to color her and added a few dots all around on the CS and glittered that to look like snow falling. This was a little more plain then I had hoped for but I didnt want to cover the printed flourish:-)
I'm going to be filling this with some sweets for Ryans teacher,
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Double up challenge

Hi Everyone!

I'm away right now with My wonderfully grown up --10 year old son Ryan at Disney world, I thought it would be a wonderful, maybe last chance to get to spend a Halloween with its trick or treating in the park and parade with him as "just a boy" not all grown up:-) He is my youngest son, the other two boys are grown up and don't need "mom" hanging with them so Im grabbing my chance with Ryan:-)

This weeks card for Totally Gorjuss challenge is... Double up! double the fun with two images on the card:-) so here's mine all decked out for Christmas with the girls all dressed up by the tree! I used SU design paper, Bazzill CS, The tree is from the new winter collection from All That Scraps which I thought would be neat to mask in with the girls, I added Decoarts snow writer for the snow on the tree, and fine doodle bug glitter under their feet, Half Backed pearls are from my pile of different sized pearls, i used copics to color my images and the red ribbon is from M's.

Please go check out what the other DT members came up with too:-)

Make A Shape!

Ok So this week for Totally Gorjuss the Theme is "Make A Shape" out of the Card itself:-) so here is my take on it:-)

I found a site that had different templetes and thought a fan, would be a neat idea to totally take me out of my comfort level of "square"cards :-) Thanks Net! :-) I used Bazzill cs for my templete fan pieces and then picked pretty papers out of Debbie Mumms holiday's stack. Added a filigree brad at the base to hold them all together, and even made my own tassle out of Perle cotton from my counted cross stitch stash upstairs:-) I used Copics to color my girl/w attitude and paper pieced red spica glittered shoes onto her! I had blue shoes, but the red glittered shoes won:-) I wanted to add flowers and branches but also wanted this fan more simple so I didn't add them....that was very hard, ha You have to go see what the other DT members came up with over at the Totally Gorjuss blog:-)
have a great weekend everyone...

Prima flower with a flat backed pearl and a heart pin from my stash I got on e-bay:-) I inked the edges of all the papers with SU soft suede, oh yes and the ultra fine glitter found its way to the dk prima flower , and theres a bit of crystal glitter in the leaves:-) Im pretty sure this is a penney black sketch by Beth that I just fell in love with for my image here.... Please go to cute daiy may and look at the rest of the DT creations:-)

"The Word" Challenge

This week for Cute Daisy Mays Challenge is "the word" meaning the sentiment or word is the main part of the card. I found a fairy poem and thought it was perfect to go with Linnie's new Fairy sheet 81:-)

The Dp is from Autumn Leaves, and a piece of swiss dot Bo Bunny from my scraps:-) I used my MS leave punch and a prima flower for the bottom, The card is 6X6, the edges are all inked with momento summer sky, the sentiment I found in a bunch of online fairy poems that I liked! I cut out the ovals using my Nestibilities and colored my fairy with Copics, cut her out and added dimensional glaze to her wings with a hint of ultra fine glitter to give her that sparkle:-) I added some bling to the oval that came from Michael's craft store and a pearl for the middle of the little flower:-) Please go to Cute Daisy Mays blog to see the other wonderful creations from my fellow DT members:-)

Floral Fantasy

I made this card right before we went on a short trip to Disney for a get together with friends we see every few years, the theme for Cute Daisy May is Floral:-) so I used one of my new images Linnie sent me and yes they remind me of fall and its summer but I fell in love with the colors I picked so her it is.
The image was colored with copics, I used some prima bling that I cut up and colored the rhinestone with my copic markers, flowers from prima too, the leaves are from a MS punch I have! I used my copic marker to feather some orange onto the edges of the one flower and darken up the other flower, my sketch was followed by one that was done by Sandra Dry, really nice sketch for this cutie:-) and I used Dusty durango CS from SU. I sponged color for the sky and grass just simply because I didn't like the plain white around her,

Copic class I taught with Tilda:-)

I just had my second Copic class that I taught to a wonderful group of ladies that I'm proud to say have become my friends:-) I decided this class was for them to work on hair variations and skin tones! They had a wonderful time and by the end of the night they "got it" their shading was wonderful and I'm proud of them:-) I wanted to put up the card I made for them to make after they were finished shading , so this card here was the model I made for them:-)

Janene was supposed to teach the class with me, but decided to let me loose on my own: I think of it as the mother bird dropping the baby out of the nest to "learn to fly" I was a bit afraid to teach the class on my own but agreed to teach it with Janene and found when I got to her house that first night that I was teaching it and she was in the wings - now she knows I would have had a panic attack if I knew I was teaching by myself but Janene the trooper she is knew I could do it and I did!! I'm proud of myself that I moved out of the box on this one!

I made the card using DP by Chatterbox, card stock was bazzill, and the yellow is a paper trey ink piece, the oval sentiment was from Magnolia but I did my own version on the computer since i hadn't bought the saying and needed something, I used my SU new Oval punches for the sentiment, add a little fun tulle I had in my cabinet and my Tilda from the spring line and colored with my Copics:-)

( I used these colors because I knew the girls had the yellow and green markers from the week before so I made it easier of them to do it the same way!

copics used were:E000, E00, E11, R20, YR21, YR23, YR24, YG93, YG95YG97, C9, C5, C3, E25, E49, E53, E59 and a hint of spica pen on the bees wings:-)

I hope you like it, I know the girls did:-)

I used DCWV DP and the CS from the same collection. I used a piece of ribbon I bought from Nikki and I have no clue where I got the metal flowers from?? haha, and the flowers are I think prima, I was just pulling stuff out of drawers for this one:-)

I used a new punch from SU and made the sentiment from the computer. I colored her with my copics!

2 challenges in one Cute daisy may/MoJo Monday

Linnie gave us the challenge this week to make a card with one of her animal images so since June around here is graduation Day for many kids I decided to make the Wise owl :-) I decided to make it a dual challenge and enter it into the MoJo Monday challenge from last Monday . I was going to make his gown a Blue for our school colors but went with black to get some practice in shading using the copics with the greys! I made the card from Bazzill cs, Used Basic Grey Black Tie collection from scraps Janene had given me:-) Thank you Janene! I distressed the edges and went around them with the black tuxedo momento ink. I used a hint of grey Metallic CS from my stock pile of CS laying around here, made a sentiment in black off the computer that Linnie had with the image but in grey and cut it out with my SU punches I recently got. I used again a few of the flat backed rhinestones I got from Michael's...You just can't have enough bling:-) and that's it.

Copics used were: N1, N5, N7, Yr16, Yr04, E35, E31, E37, gold spica pen for highlights,

Circles, Circles: Cute Daisy May Challenge!

I am adding my card I made for the challenge over at Cute Daisy May , as a guest design team member The theme this week is Circles and I literally took that as I needed to make a circular card:-) I don't know what goes through my head but Circles were all over the craft room last week! I enjoyed kind of stepping outside the box on this one, I usually do square cards its just what I love but I really wanted to try doing a circle which took a bit of practice to get it big enough, I ended up using a creative memories circle template to cut a circle then I measured and got a bigger one to use as my template. I could have made life easier on myself and pulled the cricut machine out but no not me, Ha. I used Bazzill card stock and used DP from Nana's Kitchen from DCWV pad. My circle nestibilities came in handy some circles were cut and stretched behind to fit the way I wanted them to, I colored my image with Copics and I actually took the design apart and printed just the branch and bird on one and the girl on another so I could pop her up with foam dots and bring her off the main circle to add to the depth:-) I inked the edges with a hint of one of my SU ink pads and I added white opal liquid pearls to the outer circle and then the scalloped edges have different size flat back pearls from Michael's craft store, I added hints of spica pens in her hair, her dress and the branch with colors black, chocolate, clear and peach.
Copics used were E000, E00, E11, R20 face, E35 branch, E25, E49, E53, E59 hair, BG000, BG01, B000Bird, G12, G40, G82 bows, Yr20, Yr12 dress

Pink & Greens the Theme

the Theme is Pink & Green:-) which wasn't too hard, because I love pink & green!! I used bazzill CS and DCWV Nanas Nursery, for girls as my Paper choice. I used a cuttlebug folder for an embossed look behind her and colored her with Copics, The flowers were I think Kaiser and I used ultra fine glitter to give them a shimmer:-) the leaves were punched out using my Martha Stewart punch.

Copics used were:

E00, E000, E11, R20 for skin, E25, E37, E35, E29, for Hair, R21, R22, R24 for dress, YG11, G12, G14 for pants

I took the sketch at Spoonful of sugar from this week to use because i thought the image worked well with it:-)

Sugarbowl sketch challenge and Cute Daisy May Guest design team member

I'm hoping everyone's having a great Sunday! It's warm and sunny here today which is a nice change from the wet weather we've had lately.

I decided to make my Sugarbowl card today for the sketch challenge and came on to my blog with a nice surprise from Linnie at Cute Daisy May digi designs, that I had won a Guest- design spot for two months:-) Very exciting stuff for me:-) so my day has been wonderful!

On to my Sugarbowl card: I used my Daisy stamp by Elizabeth Bell for Sugarnellie, I changed the daisies to blue flowers for the challenge which is use blue and green, which with my scenic route DP was Blue greens and yellow greens which I think fit in with the blue and green theme nicely:-) the line is Metropolis I believe, the CS is bazzill, I distressed all the papers a bit and ran one of my copic markers on the edge of them to give a darker tone to the edges. the leaf punch was a Martha Stewart, and the flowers are random from my flower bin, I added a piece of green organza ribbon at the bottom .

Copics used were: E000, E00, E11, R20 face and arms, E35, Y23, Yr23, Hair, BG72, BG75, BG000, G99, YG97, clothes, flowers and grass. Theres a tiny bit of sakura gelly pen in stardust on her belt, and a bit on the flower centers in yellow:-) I used a glue pen on the leaves and used ultra fine glitter to dust them with, I needed a bit of shimmer, and a few tiny flat back pearls from Michael's craft store. I think thats it, I hope you all enjoy what I've come up with

The image was a lot of fun to color, I've been at it all afternoon:-)

Mothers Day Hawaiin Tilda Card

I'm putting my card up now so I don't have to worry in the morning if i don't get to do it before I go to the airport, as I said in the last blog, My older sister & I are going on a Mothers Day/ Sisters trip for a few days:-) I have never gotten to spend any real time as just "sisters" with her and My Hubby thought it would be good for both of us to have some sisiter time:-) He's such a sweetie:-) I thought I'd make her a fun little Tilda card with the Polynesian theme since we are staying at Disney's Polynesian Resort Hotel.
I used a piece of paper trey inks CS and the DP is KI Memories Juicey Summer! the flowers are I think Bazzill, or Kaiser Kraft, I sponged the sky, I added the water with my copics and used diamond glaze on the water to make it look wet. On the sand part I stamped it twice and cut it out, sponged it with a chalk ink and added spots of fun flock in a brown/white mixture.
Tilda is colored with Copics and cut out and pop dotted for that 3-D effect I love!
Copics used are YG25, YG23, G09, E000, E02, E11, R20, E57, E59, BG05, BG000, Bg01, Yr04, Yr16.

Mojo Moday:-)

This is the second blog for the day, I know your all thinking I've lost my mind:-) I got a few cards done at the crop I was at yesterday and I had alot of fun doing them, I was actually relaxed being there which helped the craftiness flow, so I decided to do the Mojo Monday Challenge sketch to join in the fun over there, but I'm on the tail end so thats why I'm rushing to get it in before tonight at least I hope Im on the right time zone:-)

I used New Leaf CS from paper trey ink, and the pink was bazzill CS. I used a piece of DP from Debbie Mumms paper stack for joanns called Baby Girl, and the swiss dot is actually a piece of Digi paper from funky farys papercrafts! my image is a cutie from Dustin Pikes Digi designs that I've just recently found and love to work with. I colored her with my copics and added a shimmer of ultra fine glitter to her wings, the piece of trim was from Janenes items for sale she has the most wonderful trims to purchase:-0 and my Happy Birthday image was from Imaginisce! so there it is card #2 for me.

Flutter By Wednesday and catching up

I spent yesterday first helping a friend of mine(Janene from scrapbookdiaries.blogspot.com) Hi Janene:-) set up to sell her scrapbook stock at a 12 hour crop my old boss Donna hosts each month, I then shifted myself to a table with old friends and girls I worked with at the scrapbook store for a day of creating, well sort of creating a bit and helping to show how to use the copics and how to use the nestabilities! It was sort of a day I had been needing to do, My daugter in law was not there which made it weird cause she was always at the crops with all of us but everyone was asking for her so at least she knows she was thought of.

I made a few cards for different things and my first which is totally done is here now I'm a bit off since Dani put this up for this past wednesday but I still had time to join in the fun:-) My flutter By Wednesday is done with a random piece of DP from Janenes stock:-) and Bazzill cs, I used one of my new Ketto's fairies from stampingbella which I got while I was away and I colored her with my copic's and added ultra fine glitter to her dress and wings! I had to add a touch of glitter, she would look plain with out some glitz:-) I added a few dew drops at the bottom instead of brads cause I had the dew drops with me.

I distressed the DP a bit to scuff it up to let a hint of the white show through:-)

Off to try and get the other 2 cards done 100%

Pink Cat Studio --Mariska's challenge:-)

I had waited for my order for my Pink Cat Studio stamps to be able to be in Mariska's challenge/Pink Cat Studio...
I decided to go with a baby boy card since I'm the mom of three boys I felt comfortable with the blue papers/theme:-)
I used howdy little partner and the baby boy with the cowboy hat on from my new Pink Cat Studio set . I used Bazzill CS in Apricot, The DP is from Little Yellow Bicycle called Baby Safari.
I colored the image with my copics on neenah paper, used my Momento black ink for the image, and momento summer sky ink.
I had masked the baby image and sponged the sky with the blue momento ink, and a green SU ink for the grass.
The Howdy partner is cut from my nestabilities and I popped it on the card, I also stamped the baby image a few times and also on the DP to layer the hats, and I cut out the baby's hat/head and popped him onto the card, the little bears hat is popped too:-) I was having fun layering at this piont:-) the little bees are Pink Cat Studio too and I cut them out colored them and added dimensional glaze and popped them onto the card, I did sew on the orange DP but you can't really see it, but It's the first time I got to pull my Janome mini sewing machine out to "play"
I used a small piece of PTI cardstock and ran it through my cuttle bug folder to emboss in the circles and ran over it with the blue ink.
The photo corners were from the DP pad Baby safari I thought it just added a bit to the picture so I left them.

Off to finish another card .....

Basic Grey Challenge

OK

Today's card is for the Basic Grey Challenge @ http://basicgreychallenges.blogspot.com/

I'm really enjoying getting involved in the different challenges, kinda forces me to look around and pull things I have out to use that I may not have thought of:-) and I feel like I am part of something, weird I know but trust me it's just what I need right now:-)

So I used their Porcelain DP as my something of the Basic Grey line for my card and I used Ivy Bazzill card stock, Martha Stewart Border punch for the end, A Leanne Ellis design by Sugar Nellie for the image stamped in Memento Ink and colored with my copics, I ended up turning the sketch sideways for the layout and I used a 5x7 card format:-) I'm done, I love it, and now off to make dinner!

Flutter By Wednesday

Ok I deceided to join in the fun of Danni's Flutter By Wednesday Challange! http://dannisdreamscrafts.blogspot.com/ The Challange is to not use DP on the card, so I got my cuttlebug folder out and used three colors of PTI cardstock, the stamp is an outlines stamp, the saying is by "My sentiments exactly" I used my nestabilities scalloped circles, I colored the Butterfly with my copic markers and added stickles to it! I sponged the edges with Versa Magic Mango Madness:-) and I had a blast today having "fun"!! I hope everyone likes my first attempt at a challenge:-) I had a problem with the lighting and my camera and it's the best i can do right now.
